Bibi Stewart of Modest Tea Boutique was running a full-scale operation out of her home doing design, styling, and consignment while welcoming customers in for fittings. She wanted to grow her business and diversify her offerings but was overwhelmed managing her family while industrial equipment took up valuable space in her home. She needed a strategic plan, operations revamp, a team and a brick-and-mortar location to run her business and house the equipment.
We began our work together in July 2020 and by August we found her the perfect location. By November, she was moved in and could free up space in her home. She immediately hired her first staff member who was able to help with client interaction and orders. Bibi continues to run her location and has expanded her offerings. Al-Munir LLC

Bilal Walker of Al-Munir LLC came to us in need of strategy and ideation to support his business growth. We started by creating roles, responsibilities, and job postings for the organization to grow its team. As they moved into the farming season, we crafted press releases for their upcoming programs and coached them on operations and organizational strategy through the season. As they prepared to close out 2021, we created an end-of-year sponsor letter and exit survey for one of their seasonal programs. Al-Munir continues to plan dynamic growth with the expansion of their two urban farms and their new non-profit, Urban Seeds Grow in 2022.

Halsey Festival

Halsey Festival is a yearly festival in Newark, NJ focused n highlighting businesses along the Halsey Street Corridor. As a marquee event, the festival features over 80 local vendors, including small businesses and anchor institutions, performances, activities, and giveaways. The Halsey Fest team brought us in to help streamline the event planning process and ensure visibility to its growing audience. In addition to the daytime festival, in 2022, Halsey Festival added on an afterparty portion that was a great success, received well by students and residents alike. Halsey Festival is an important part of the business ecosystem in Newark, and it was an honor to contribute to its success.

The Rotary Club of Newark NJ

The Rotary Club of NJ came to us to support them in celebrating the culmination of their Read 4 Life Book project where they distributed over 40,000 books with the help of members from Rutgers University, Beta Alpha Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc., and My Very Own Library division of The United Way of Greater Newark and more. Catered by local chef Sean Hassan, we put together an inspiring event where volunteers and partners were awarded for their contributions to the project.
We did a pre-event assessment identifying client and venue needs, coordinated all logistics and created and managed attendee invites.
